At Tripak Ltd we are now starting to stock PET tapes, these are great for adding more strength to your packaging.

PET tapes can also be called pressure sensitive adhesive tape, splicing tape and sheathing tape. Polyester is also referred to as PET, but this is an abbreviation for its chemical name polyethylene terephthalate.

These tapes can come in acrylic, silicone and rubber adhesive – they are super easy to adhere due to its mechanical characteristics and its high resistance to moisture, solvents, oil and various chemicals.

Due to these tapes being thinner and stronger, they improve many aspects:

- Resistance performance

- Rigidity performance

- Printability performance

- Flatness and dimensional stability

- Resistance to high temperatures

- Adhesion performance

- Higher tensile strength

- Productivity

As you can see there are many advantages to our new PET tapes (which come printed, plain, coloured & buff), and by switching to these tapes you are also saving weight, space and costs – what’s not to love!

PET tapes aren’t just perfect for your business use, we believe there are many great markets that they can be used in like aerospace, building & construction, electronics, printing and manufacturing.

These tapes are great for those working in manufacturing as they have so many benefits suited for these applications.

- Moisture resistance

- Chemicals and solvents resistance

- Abrasion resistance

- Temperature resistance up to 200 Celsius

- High tack

- Excellent ageing and weathering properties
